Lipova City Museum is hosted by the house that belonged to the former politician Sever Bocu between 1922 and 1953. Five halls of the permanent exhibition still have the sumptuous interior arrangement ordered by Bocu: the marquetry floor, the stove made of Vienna tiles, crystal chandeliers and mirrors, furniture.
The exhibition contains the art collection donated to the museum by the Eleonora Costescu and Vasile Varga family in 1980: romanian modern painting (Ion Andreescu, Nicolae Tonitza), Flemish, Italian, English, French and Hungarian school painting as well as decorative art works (silverware, porcelain, glassware).
