The National Military Museum plays an important role in the knowledge of the historical traditions of the Romanian army.
Founded in 1923 by a decree signed by King Ferdinand, this institution has enjoyed over time of the benevolent attention of the royal family, who made numerous donations and the support of important personalities like Radu Rosetti, Vasile Parvan, Alexandru Tzigara-Samurcas, Nicolae Iorga etc.
