On the road that connects Moieciu de Sus to Moieciu de Jos, on the left side of the Turcului creek, there is the “La Chisatoare”  Waterfall, that was declared a bio-geological reservation, which flows in tiny spouts, while winding through thick moss vegetation. It suddenly finishes and it is replaced by a rocky wall, and the water threads either trickle on the wall or heavily fall off the snag. This a surface cavity phenomenon, unique in this area, favoured by the carbon calcium deposits which take the form of travertine.

In wintertime, the waterfall partially freezes, thus forming spectacular ice columns.
