Postavarul Mountains

15 km south of Brasov lays the landscape reserve Postavarul, 1025 ha area, dating from 1980. A large range of plant and animal species are preserved in the area, as well as the wild landscape, not affected by human influence.

Maximum altitude of 1799 m in Postăvarul. Within a small area they display a great variety of relief forms, with numerous contrasts: large plateaus and gentle slopes, excellent for easy walks, as well as steep peaks with abrupt faces, with difficult trails and well known ski-runs.
